This week for TLIT I am dreaming of spring. Usually, I love winter...because I love snow...but we've had ZERO snow here in Charlie West and this time I am way over the frigid weather!
This spring we are building a deck! I love the look of this one with the pergola and lights! Ours is basically going to be a 13 foot sqaure because that is all we have room for but I definitely need some kind of pergola like this. It makes it more private and makes it feel a little like an additional room.
We are also planning on putting up a privacy fence. Right now we have chain link and we live on a busy road so I'd like something to block out the view and the noise a little bit! The way this fence is built is freakin' amazing! I am sure that it would be over my budget, but a girl can dream!
Also on my spring to-do list: paint the garage doors. We have 2 garage doors and they are looking a little worse for wear. I LOVE this black. My house is brick on the bottom and white siding on the top so I was thinking of doing a dark charcoal grey but I might consider black as well! There is a great tutorial up on She Re-Purposed It if you are interested in painting your garage door!
I need it to get warm quick! There are so many more outdoor projects I'd like to get done. Hurry up spring!
Hope you all are having a great week so far...I know its only Tuesday - - but hey tomorrow is HUMP DAY! I am with Kris on totally being over winter already. We haven't had any snow and its just too cold for me!
Being cooped up in the house lately has put my need to re-decorate in FULL FORCE...
Here are some things I have been looking at for ideas lately.
My living room is where we spend most of our time and lately I have just been hating how drab and colorless it is. I am loving all of the geometric designs out and the grey but I am horrible at matching designs and colors. I love the color scheme and designs in this blog!
We don't really have the space for an actual mudroom, but we NEED something. I love this idea and look from A Beautiful Mess. Seems simple and practical!
As my son grows he has so many more toys! Like I said before we spend most of our time in the living room, therefore most of his toys are there too. What I have now just isn't working for me! I really like this look and idea for toy and book storage.
Hopefully the next time I post - it will be about some re-decorating!!
Until next time.
