Beadboard American Flag

Thursday, June 12, 2014

It's a little bit early but I decided to decorate for the 4th of July already and what is the 4th of July without an American Flag?

My little mantel is definitely a reflection of 'Merica, don't ya think? Baseball, ice cold cokes and the good ol' USA.

I made this flag with beadboard wallpaper and one of those unfinished wood trays from Michael's that I had already previously painted blue.

All I did was glue the beadboard wallpaper inside the tray and paint it with some craft paint at my kitchen table. I had to make the white stripes smaller than the red but there are a correct amount of stars and stripes. :)

It's not painted perfectly and that is ok. I wasn't aiming for perfection!

Yellowstone is part of America, so why not include this whiskey bottle from my great grandpa? I love how the colors in the flag just pop out at you as well.

The little white framed picture says "Land that I love"...and you can download the printable HERE.

Here is is all put together. Kinda cute, no?
